I suspect your Abraham Riegel, b. about 1827, Jefferson Twp., Berks Co., PA was the son of John Riegel, b. 6 Jun 1782, Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co., PA, died 15 Dec 1856, Jefferson Two., Berks Co. John was married to Catherine Elizabeth Trewitz, b. 16 Dec 1788, Jefferson Twp., Berks Co., died 5 Nov 1860, Jefferson Twp., Berks Co.
John Riegel was the son of Johannes Reigel and Catharine Margeretha Hamburger, grandson of John Daniel Riegel and Maria Dorothea Beitler, great grandson of Johannes Cornelius Riegel and Anna Gertruitha.
I am descended from another son of Johannes Cornelius and Ann Gertruitha Riegel, Matthias Riegel, b. Jun 1704.
