This is my great-grandfather. He was born in Germany and immigrated to the US in 1881. He was born in February 1872 in Germany. Story has it that he stowed away on a ship to get here, and that he rode with Teddy Roosevelt in the Spanish American War ... the war is listed on the 1900 Census. He had eight children, my grandfather was the eldest. He married Stella Schien around 1903/4 ... my grandfather, William Riegel, was born in 1905. I am looking for any info that may be around regarding his ancestory or his story, other then what I have been told. He was a marble/tile setter and builder by trade.
