Giles and Rhea Counties in TN are the "forefather's homes" of many descendants of the original TN RHEA people who migrated to TN, BUT I think you would have to consider Sullivan Co., TN, as the "original" home. They came down out of VA and settled, first in Sullivan Co., THEN went on to Rhea Co., Giles Co., and others.

Giles Co. is the "forefathers' home" for your particular branch of the family, but not for many, many branches.

(BTW, the reason I've researched the RHEA family is that the Sullivan and Washington Co. RHEA families married into many of my "Germanna" families. Plus, my first cousin, whose mother was a SNAPP, has the same RHEA ancestors as do you, since the SNAPP and RHEA families intermarried in Sullivan and Washington Co., TN.)
