My dear sir,

Please believe what every you wish to believe. But we are not taking about Germany are we? We are not talking about France are we? We are talking about Iberia. And in Iberia, the Holy Office of the Catholic Church of Spain has declared the name as being of Sephardic origin. The names were so identified by forced census of the Jewish villiages of Spain. The Holy Office administered the inquisition. I doubt if the Inquisitors would put a Catholic name on the list. If you would only research the site, you will also find that individuals by that name appeared before the inquisition at several diffent locations.

Best wishes.
