this is not completely correct.

The name "Rey" can also be a german name!
Rey - maybe from "Reyde" or "Reydt" (Speech).

Rey is a very old family in Germany. I have records from 1331.

The german Reys from Kerpen, Aachen and cologne are relevant to the holy Franziska (Schervier) of the poor and maybe the holy Fidelis (Marcus Rey, 1640).
