An Antoine Rey of the Louisiana Militia managed to escape the British when they captured his fellow members of the 3rd Regiment, which were posted at the "Spanish Fishermen's village at the mouth of Bayou Bienvenu several days before the Battle of New Orleans on December 21, 1814. Does anyone have a clue as to who he was?
