I am sorry but I am not able to help you with your James Ray. I know nothing of my James Ray's movments from the time he was born in 1806 in NC. untill he showed up in Warren TWP. Bradley Co. Ark. in 1855 when he married Mary Ann Ward on Sept. 20. Family tradition has it that he came from Tenn. down to Ark.
I wish that I could help you but I am unable to help you at this time. I keep hoping that something will come to light someday. I wish you more luck in finding your ancestor than I have had finding mine.
