William and Isabel Greenlees(b.1788) Rea left County Antrim, Ireland in 1820 for Canada where they remained with their children, John, Helen, and Jane, for about five years. A son, Robert, was born there. They moved to the Beekmantown, N.Y. area around 1825 and remained there. Their neighbors were Patrick Moore and wife Margaret Greenlees, sister to Isabell. I am at a brick wall with my Agnew family and I believe we may be related to the Reas and Greenlees through Agnews. I descend from John Agnew, b. about 1818, who also came to Plattsburgh/AuSable Forks from County Antrim. His sister, Eliza Jane Agnew Gettys, lived in Beekmantown from the early 1840s until her death. I would love to find information establishing a relationship between the families.
Thanks for any help.
