Researchers were able to establish tht George Wray from Brunswick co va bought land in 1778 in Bute co NC and Bute co NC became Warren co NC in 1779. George was on the 1785 tax llist for Warren co NC with a Baker Wray. No record could be found as to when George sold his land in Warren co NC but he was in Chatham co NC in 1790. A researcher was able to find a deed where George Wray sold his Warren co NC land in 1789 to a John Moore. A Rederick or Frederick Ray witnessed the deed. Would anyone know who Frederick or Rederick Ray was living in Warren co NC in 1789 was? Thanks, Ross
