Lois, I do not belice this Solomon Ray is the son of John Ray.
He is the son of Robert Ray who is the Son of a John Ray
My great grand father Solomon Ray was named after is uncle Solomon Ray who married Polly Ferguson.
I was looking for a web site that had most of Haywood Co. records but they have removed most of the good stuff like marriages, census, court records like bastardly files etc.
