Melissa: I need to make a correction here, it is john and francis ray who are from the alexander ray line not john and suzanna ray, there are so many john ray and wives I get them confused sometimes.... I was looking through the lds records for traces of charles ray's and found a will for a charles ray dated 8 july 1806 in orange co north carolina, its microfilm and can be downloaded but my computer won't let me download it maybe yours will the batch number is 6929542, sheet 80, source call no. 0538081 ...you mentioned your charles connected to the year 1740 if he was a young man then it may have a chance of being his will, I may be asuming to much....jim
