Melissa: Its been a couple but a few of on this forum were tracing thomas ray's (of course there are at lest 5 different ones) but there was one found in halifax, the post should still be here but the one was on (not positive of the year) 1785 tax list but was gone to north carolina by 1787, I have read mention of a charles ray connected to the thomas ray of new kent co, but he would be to early in history for him to be yours......jim
