Jim-
Thanks for the timely info, I'm just getting ready to do a timeline on Christmas Jr. Do you know how many children he had? It looks as if he was in Edgecombe, Northampton and Granville on Island Creek and Nut Brush creek between 1757 qnd 1762. There is a connection between Christmas and Gabriel, Gabriel and William, William and Ambrose and maybe a Thomas from Granville who was in Georgia by 1757 and sold his Granville property.

There is also a THomas in SC, mudlick creek, who seems to be connected to thsi group. Apparently, Lewis and Sampson BoBo move from the same area of Granville to the same area of SC at the time, with known connections to Ray's.

Apparently the John /Susan Vance Ray was connected to this group but was in GA by 1763 when he died. George Ray who died in GA also seems to be connected to this group .

Also, George RAy d 1804 was connected to A John Bostick who ended up in Ga--they traveled together-I think. He was married to Elizabeth Chesley . I believe that this is where the name Chesley Ray came from.

Melissa
