Doug: Well that pretty much puts on the same page then, john watson ray sr was born in amherst co va, around 1770, he married rutha robertson (daughter of arthur robertson and wife mildred) dec. 16, 1791, (have some info on robertson family if you wish to see it) how far are you in the family tree, john sr died about 1842 to 1844 on shelby cr where he recieved a grant in 1825 0f 50ac (according to ky grants archives) he was supposed to be living with a sarah keel mother of samuel grady keel, who at one time was a son-in-law of john watson ray jr, he married john jr's daughter cynthia who died in 1861, they had a couple of children, later he married a girl by the name of owens and had 4 or 5 more children but I think his oldes (by cindy) was a willy keel, I don't have my notes handy and may be wrong on that, but can give you the correct line up, maybe we should trade notes, it looks like we are related....jim
