I was looking through microfilm of the Stillwater Gazette from Stillwater, Payne, Oklahoma and I found a small obituary from John Wesley Ray. I was going to post it to his memorial on Find-A-Grave and was not able to find out where he was buried.
John Wesley Ray
born abt 1833 in London, Madison, Ohio
died 3 Sep 1924 (age 91 years)
He was a Civil War Veteran (Ohio).
Had a son named R.A. Ray (who was living at the time in Stillwater, Payne, Oklahoma).
Had lived in Guthrie, Logan, Oklahoma, but was living in an Old Soldiers Home at the time of his death in Leavenworth, Kansas.
If anyone has this John Wesley Ray in their family tree, please e-mail me and let me know where he is buried OR let me know if you want a copy of this obituary.
