Ross: From juat off the top of my head Capt. george wray, was a land agent for the people who were selling land up there in the brunswick area and there abouts, in a sept. issue 1736 or 39 he was named as a land manager and to see him in the hampton area, it is every possible the george you are related to is a son or grandson, william byrd recruited about 250 farmers from the area of new kent co to go up the river and settle that land, hampton and new kent, and elizabeth city are right there togeather at the mouth of the river and was the busyest sea port in the va colony at that time.....jim
