Ross: There was a moses ray/wray who lived at the mouth of the rockfish river in the deeds he shows up I believe about 1739 and buys a 9ac island at the mouth of the rockfish, he buys other pieces of property his last one was135ac on bear branch in 1752, he died in 1766 leaving his property to 3 sons william, thomas, and moses jr, I don't remember all the details but these 3 sons sold out and moved away, I have heard thomas was dead by 1782 and that william sold his property to nicholas cabell, moses jr was supposed to have went to franklin co va, I don't have my notes handy so I really wouldn't want to say something wrong, but its my guess that I am related to that william ray/wray, but have no solid proof.....jim
