Hi Jim
Thanks so mich for the reply and the info. How do you have the location of the Yarbrough land? Have you researched the Yarbroughs? A Henry Yarbrough and my George Wray sold land in 1769 they apparently owned together. The land was on Quarrel Swamp near Reedy Creek. George bought land from Henry Yarbrough on the same day. That does not make sense I know but that is what the deed says.I think Francis Wray and his son in laws the Allens left Brunswick co Va and went to NC in the 1760's. Of course the deed I asked about was in the 1750's. I thought maybe the Wray listed as a neighbor to Jesse Tatum might have been John Wray who received a land grant in the late 1720's in Brunswick co va just like Willism Wray and Francis Wray did or possibly Willlism Wray. I can not find any record where William Wray and his wife Anne went if they left Brunswick co Va or when they died. They had a son named Baker Wray. There was some kind of relationship between my George and Baker Wray. They left Brunswick co Va and were in Bute co NC in 1778 and when Bute co NC became Warren co Va in 1779 they were them in Warren co NC. George Wray and Baker Wray and a William Wray owned land in Warren co NC in the 1780's that joined each other's land. I do not think this was the William Wray who received land in the late 1720'sw since he was born about 1700 and I doubt he would have packed up at almost eighty years old and went o NC even though Warren co NC is just south of Brunswick co Va. It might have been his son and the brother of Baker Wray. I don't know. Apparently no one has ever researched the descendants of Willism Wray and his wife Anne. I think maybe my George born probably in the 1740's was related somehow to William although some researchers have said he was the son of a Moses Wray who I don't know which Moses wray they were referring to. If you happen to see the name Baker Wray please let me know. Thanks, Ross
