Lou: That was just a suggestion not how things were really applied To begin with you had hennings statutes at large you can refer to and how it was supposed to be applied set up by the virginia legislature for a reference for us today, but in the real time when our ancestors lived, it depended who the ruling class elite in charge of that county area, district, or perish wished to apply it, or make way to ignoe it how they saw fit to do, remember we were still ruled by england and it had the reputation world over for one of the most currupt legal systems in history, if the gentry in charge didn't like you well you can guess what was libale to happen, it just depended how much william cabell or peter jefferson, or william byrd wished to proffit off the deal as to how the court ruled in that area, at that time....jim
