Richard: Some of my ray ancestors lived in floyd co ky, I'm not sure but a martin ray may have been the son of benjamin ray and sally jones, benjamin was a brother to my greatgreatgrandfather john watson ray jr, both were born in what is scott co va, john jr was born in 1806 and benjamin was born in 1810....there was a martin ray who served during the civil war in the union 39th vol. mounted inf, in co k, a large number of our relatives served in co k, so maybe that was your martin ray.....jim
