A researcher sent me info that when a person living in Virginia planned to move to another county or state they were required to notify the court. There apparently are order books at the courthouses in most Va counties thet have these order books and it showed daily activity of the courts back then. It continued until the Americans won the American Revolution. I don't know how accurate this is but the researcher said the people were required to report any plans to leave the county back then. Would anyone know about these order books? Thanks, Ross
