Ross: A quick ckeck in my notes about william byrd recruting the farmers to settle the area there abouts luenburg co....it was said he dud the recuiting at fort smith the site of the old occanhee indian village, fort smith was across the river from hampton and new kent county's, a lot of those farmers were from new kent county, george wray sr lived in hampton, as did george jr, that would make it very possible how george wray came to be in luenburg co, I would also check the family's of capt. george wrays others sons kieth jacob and james there may be another namesake, named for george sr among them...jim
