To add to Carl's CHESLEY Family records in Virginia, there is the following:

York Co.,Virginia 1653 Court, pg 42

Deed of Robert WYLDE to Philip CHESLEY 1/2 of 480 acres purchased of Mr. Joseph CROSHAW...........

ibid, pg 43

Will of Thomas RAY - Proven 24th June 1653.

Unfortunately, the two documents only "Prove" the residence of the Philip CHESLEY and the Thomas RAY families in York Co., in 1653.
