My great-grandfather William Henry Ralph was also born on 8/20/1860 so it must be the same person. I misspelled his birthplace (it should have read Plumstead Twp.). His parents were Caleb Ralph and MaryAnn Messler (born about 1821). I've also wondered about the conection to Francis Ralph but have no information on this. Another thing I have not been able to figure out is that on the 1850 census in Plumstead Twp. there is a Caleb Ralph about the same age (1 year different) as my great-great-grandfather but with a wife named Susan and and different children then the Caleb Raplh and Mary that are on the 1860 Census for Plumstead Twp.
William Henry Ralph is buried in St. John's Cemetery in Allentown (his birth year is wrong on his tombstone, it says 1858).
