In the 1851 census in Dumfresshire, Thomasina Rae was living with her grandmother Elizabeth Scott. On the 15th of March 1854 she married George Irving who was working as a flesher/butcher at Stockbridgehall farm near Middlebie.
George's parents were Robert Irving and Janet Carruthers. Robert Irving was the son of Robert Irving and Jane Rae. Janet was the daughter of James Carruthers of Howcleugh and Janet Schular. I would like to find out more about Thomasina.
