Mary Rae and George Johnstone were the parents of John Johnstone, born in Cummertrees Parish, Dumfriesshire on 11 Jan. 1792. This birth and parent information was found in the "Dumfriesshire-Cummertrees Parish Registers–1733-1854; LDS Film No. 0102311.
John Johnstone immigrated to Canada and finally settled in Hawkesbury Twp., Prescott Co., Ontario, Canada. I have more family information for him–marriage, children, death, etc., which I can furnished to anyone that is interested; however, here I am primarily interested in locating the lineage for both Mary Rae and George Johnstone. So far, I have not been able to do that.
I would like to hear from anyone that knows about or has a connection to this family line.
