At an auction, I acquired a few old letters to Mr &Mrs William K. Rae, Bulington, Ontario dated 1921 and postmarked from Philadelphia.
In one letter there was a newspaper clipping of a Dr. Austin Hager Speers,Burlington, Ont still practising after 56 years. The letter was signed Your sincere friend, William Cookshott.
Another letter typed on letterhead paper from Philadelphia 1921 to My dear Peggy & Will from Your loving sister Lillian.
Another letter postmarked Burlington 1921 to Mrs Rae opens with "My Dear Esther" and signed by Mariam M. Snodgrass
A card to Grandma Rae from Bill, Jim, & John
A letter dated 1928 from Mapleshade , New Jersey to Mr & Mrs W.K. Rae from sister Lillian telling of her fathers death.
A Mother's day card to Mrs W. K. Rae in Burlington, 1965 from grandson John
These papers mean nothing to me and I know that someone researching the Rae family would probably love to have them. I also know where several old photos for the RAE family can be purchased.
