My great grandmother Thomasina Rae married my great grandfather George John Irving on March the 4th 1854 at Brydkirk. In the 1851 census my ggrandmother Thomasina Rae was living with her grandmother Elizabeth Scott at Carrutherstown.
After they were married George worked as a flesher (butcher), at his Grandfathers home at Stockbridgehall. They immigrated to Canada sometime later.
George's parents were Robert Irving and Janet Carruthers of Breckonhill farm.
Robert and Janet had a farm at Quaas Loaming now part of the freeway outside Lockerbie.
I know nothing about my grandmother other than what I have written here. Can anyone help me identify who she was and who her grandmother Scott was.
