Ratke mis-read, mis-filed tip

I recently received the naturalization papers for my ggrandfather, having originally been told that they didn't exist. His papers were filed under the surname Rathe because a lowercase cursive h looks much like a lowercase cursive k. If you've hit a brick wall, searching under Rathe might help! I now possess the first and second papers of Johann Ratke (born 1871 and naturalized in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1906) which state that he immigrated through New York in December of 1890 and that Anton Kruger and Fred Fischer (citizens) vouched for his character, etc.
