I have a picture of a William and Myrtle Rabe. On the back is written: Meet Mr. and Mrs. Wm Rabe xxxx May 19, 1932. Myrtle is her name. I am guessing they are recently married? My grandmother was from Carroll Co. Iowa, but lived in Omaha, NE (as an adult) for a short while, and then Los Angeles, CA. She did go to Illinois during the 1930's. Her grandmother's maiden name was also Rabe.
Anybody know who these people might be?
I did find an obituary posted on Ancestry.com for a Myrtle Rabe, married to a William C. Rabe. It was in the Chicago Tribune, so I am guessing she lived in Illinois, at least at the time of her death in 1980. It lists her maiden name as BAACKE. No clue if this is the same person, but it is a possibility.
