About 15 years ago I bought an old picture album at an antique store. On the inside cover it says:
Presented to Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Rabe Dec. 23, 1889 BY
August and Sophie.
The album is full of pictures.
The first picture is of an older couple. No names
The second picture says "Biermans" at the top and underneath says:
Uncle Will, Aunt Mary, Uncle August and Sophie and Grandma Annie. On the back of this picture it says: Keokuk, Iowa.
Names on other pictures are: Uncle Will and Aunt Minnie, Grandma and Grandpa Rabe, Uncle Mace and Aunt Sophie Schlegit (can't read this name so may be incorrect), Aunt Mary Bierman, Alma and Edwin Bierman, August and William Bierman,Karl Rabe (baby), Chester Schultz, Edna Rabe, Julius Rabe, Henry Rabe, Hattie and Martha Rabe.
I'd be glad to scan and post the pictures if anyone is interested.
