Query family of Cabarrus/Mecklenburg NC

Still looking for the origin of Alexander Query of Cabarrus/Mecklenburg Counties, NC, thought to have been born about 1741-43.

Don't know if he was born in Ireland, as one side of the family says, then came to NC via SC by ship prior to the Revolutionary War, or was born in PA, came down the Wagon Road with many of the other Scottish PA settlers after the Delaware Indians pillaged and burned, and is part of that "other" Alexander Query bunch who were part of the Penn Colony. He was a founding member, along with his wife, Peggy McCord, of the Rocky River Presbyterian Church not far from Concord, NC, which is not that far from Charlotte NC. Any assistance will be appreciated very much.

He supposedly is not a relative of the John Queary who signed the Mecklenburg Declaration in 1774 - that one is said to have come in from Scotland, not Scotland via Ireland).
