My wife is Abigail Jordan Pennell, descendant of the blood line of Alfred Reed Pennell, John Fredrick Pennell, John D. & Abbie Pennell, Jacob and Deborah Pennell and so on back to Phillip Pinell from the Isle of Jersey. We are very interested in any family history that can be passed on to us. We have made two trips to Brunswick to do research on the family, have visited Pennellville, Bath, Portland and most of the historic museums that would have anything pertaining to the Pennells. We are especially curious as to the whereabouts of the ship logs and diaries referenced in the book Captain Abby, Captain John by RPT Coffin. He says they were given to Boiden College but they know nothing of that donation. Any clues to their whereabouts would be appreciated. We would love to see them just to know they exist. We are also interested in any paintings of any of the ships that were built in the shipyards. We know of about a dozen at this point but wonder if any others exist, where they are located and so on. We would like to get a picture of each painting just to put in the family history. We are new to this, so bear with us if we are asdking too much or the wrong questions. We learn fast. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Notify Administrator about this message?
