Alice:
The Jesse K. H. Pace who married Elizabeth Petty was a son of John Pace, Jr. b 1775, d. Blount Co, AL who married Zeporah Kirby b 1778 Henry Co, VA. They had 8 children. John Jr. is son of John Pace, Sr. (1748-1825) who married Ann Russell. I believe John Pace, Sr. is descended from Richard Pace of Jamestown, but I need to look into this a little further. Mrs. Carl E. Edwards of Selma, AL said John's (Jr) first wife (name unknown) died in Spartanburg Co, SC. He went to Warren Co, KY, married Zeporah there, thence back to Spartanburg in 1800. He returned to Warren Co until he removed to northern Alabama in 1817. He died abt. 1830 in Blount Co, AL. Most of the children went to TX, AR. Per Robert Webb: Elizabeth, Martha, Jesse and David arrived in North Texas in the mid-1830's
Dan Franklin (DFranklin1@compuserve.com) also has some information on this family.
Gordon W. Pace
