My gggggrandfather was Burrel Pace, John the tory's son. According to family history Burrel went to the NC legislature to try to retrieve the land confiscated from John after he and his oldest son was killed. John Pace of the Pace Societies believes that, indeed, John the tory was the son of the son of Richard and Sarah as you question. You can find the proposed linage in the 2009 Pace soc. bulletin. As to the dna testing: descendants of Burrel have been tested and are placed in a group which seems to fit in to the descendants of Richard of Jamestown.
