I am researching my mother in laws family. Her grandfather is listed as James B. Pace on the 1880 census. I have been unable to determine his parents. I do have a copy of the marriage license of james B. Pace and Viola Nelson. The signature designated by his X on the Surety Bond was "Jo" Pace (Joseph) evidently signed by the clerk. The census and the marriage license was issued in Barren County Kentucky, and my mother in laws father listed list place of birth as Barren County Kentucky. The 1880 census listed 6 siblings, Jim (James Conway), Jenny, Bane, Joe Nelson, Edward and Nicholas. There is another child, Buster, but he is a half sibling, and we don't know his last name. Any infomation you might have and are willing to share would be appreciated.
