You need to talk with Shirley Thomas (see below. Her response was in reference to my query about Ocains in CT). Sounds like you two are related.

My ancestor was Anthony Fransway Ocain. He fought in the Revolutionary War, and was from Milford, Conn.
He had only one son and that son changed the spelling of the name to Ocame. I have a letter from a probate judge with this info.
I still have cousins with that name living in CT.
Maybe this info will help you. Check spelling changes of the name.

Would also like to hear what you have on the Ocame family. There is still an Ocain family in CT, but I haven't had any luck getting anyone to respond to genealogy queries by snail-mail. Have a lot of info on the line, but not sure if it ties into my line at all. Would be interesting to prove a connection with them, or with your line.
