The O'Cain/McCain DNA project has been on-going since September 2003. We are having much success with several McCain/O'Cain septs being located and matches to native born Irish Cains.
The test is particularly useful for O'Cains who have a hiatus (brickwall) in their genealogical research.
The group of McCains/O'Cains from north Antrim and northeast County Derry have been particularly successful in finding DNA matches and have linked together many families.
All O'Cains are urged to particpate in the DNA project.
