I'm the historian Zion United Church of Christ,the church that John S. Neubauer and his wife Christina attended from 1872 until their deaths. Of course, our church was known as Zion German Evangelical Church then. I also have access to our local census records which show that they were both born in Bavaria a section of Germany. John L. Neubauer, their son, had a brother named George L. Neubauer. In the 1860 Census there was also a seven year old female shown in the family, but I could not make out the name.
