I come from the Moaks of Mississippi, but my family now resides in Louisiana. That Moak line has strong Swiss/German and Scotch/Irish roots, and almost all of the Moaks in the McComb and Summit, MS area are Southern Baptists. My father came from Summit, MS but moved to Louisiana to minister in New Orleans. My mother is French/Croatian, so I don't look much like most of my Mississippi Moak kin. I was wondering if there are any other Moaks in the US who have mixed with Slavic blood? Also, we have strong Israeli connections too. Are there any other Moaks who have Israeli practices or customs that have somehow entered into their religion or lifestyle?
