Hello! I'm tracking the descendants of Elisha Mead of Greenwich, CT, and I'm told by Sherman Meeds that there seems to be a connection with this Elisha. At this point, the only suggestion of a trail to me is the presence of Elkanah Mead in the 1790 census of Harford Co. The presence of a John H. Mead at the same time is what seems to connect these Meads with Sherman's family of John Meeds (and son John H. Meeds) in Hancock Co, OH.
I'd appreciate what you might have on this family.
