I am finding information a bit confusing so far being new at this. What I have found is that there was a Lydia L Meads in Stephenson County Illionois. She was born Oct 17, 1887 in Alliance Nebraska. She was listed as a servant in one home and a daughter in the home of Benjamin Meads in the 1900 Census. There is a marriage record for Benjamin Meads and Mrs. Lydia Laevenight(maiden name?) Meads on 5/12/1896 in Stephenson Illinois. One family tree a cousin did showed Richard R Meads(died May 1 1895 in York County PA) as being Lydia L Meads' father and Lydia Lebernight as her mother. Can anyone help me sort this out? Perhaps Benjamin was a brother to Richard and took in his widow after his death?
It looks like possibly Benjamin went home to Stephenson County Illinois to die around 2/2/1917. Possibly his wife Lydia went to Wichita Kansas and died around 4/20/1934. Assuming these two families are one and the same. Any help will be appreciated.
