More information on Meads in Pasquotank County from Volume 4 of the Historical Society Yearbook:
"In Posession of Henry Clay Meads, Jr., copied 21 April 1967 - Henry Clay Meads of Pasquotank County, N.C. and Mary Elizabeth Meads of Pasquotank County, N.C., were married Wednesday, June 2, 1880 by Rev. Charles Meads at the home of Benjamin Pendleton's home. children - Maude Susan was born 1 March 1884; Elizabeth Meads (Bessie) was born 19 January 1887, died Oct. 1964; Henry Clay Meads, Jr. was born September 1, 1889 died 1973; William Jordan Meads was born February 1892; Ilma Meads was born November 17, 1894 died April 1960."
"Henry Clay Meads and Mary Elizabeth Meads-Meads separated and she married Frederick Pendleton Markham and had children - Eunice Markham born May 1901?; Thomas Talmadge Markham born December 1903?"
"Mary Elizabeth Meads-Meads-Markham died 1924 was born 1864."
"Henry Clay Meads, Sr. was the son of Jordan Meads and Mary Eliza Chorey."
"Mary Elizabeth Meads was the daughter of Stanton Meads and (Preacher) his fourth wife Susan Luton widow of Richard Lister and daughter of Constine Luton and his wife Meriam."
There is further information here on the children. I did not see anything on the death of Henry Clay Meads. Sr.
