The 1850 Morgan county Kentucky census list Mathew and Susannah Meadows and a child 16 year old spelled "Lyar" the "L" is a "T" thus "Tyar" is correct. The census index list him as "Lyde". I believe he married a Nancy Barker and died shortly after George Meadows was born all this in Morgan county Kentucky. Nancy remarries a Moses Whitley. I can't explain who raised George but its must have been George's parents or someone on the paternal side of the family. There is a Greenup County death cert #17795 for George Meadows jr that list his parents as Tira Meadows and ______ Barker. This is about all I know or can guess.
