Some family parpers of ours suggest that the John Rogers that left a will in Fairfield District, SC in 1790 was married to a Meadors/Meaders. I, and many other Rogers researchers have tried to find the name of his wife. As far as I know, We (My family and I) are the first to list her as a Meader.

We know for sure that we have another Meader link in our family. It comes only one generation later. John Rogers' son Henry Rogers m. Elizabeth Mobley. Elizabeth's mother was Drucilla Meader, her info is as follows:

_________________________________________________________
Druscilla Meador, b1738
father: Jason Meador,b1704-1707:d1774 Anson, NC.
His father was:
John Meador b.1658-1660 Lancaster Co. VA, d.1721 Essex Co. VA. m. Elizabeth White.

father: Thomas Meador, b.1638, d. 1661, m.Sarah Hoskins (all VA)

father: Thomas Meads, b.1612 (Suffolk, England), d.1654-1655 Lancaster Va
Mother: Elizabeth Stone
father: William Stone
mother: Ann ?
___________________________________________________________

In case you didn't catch it, this would men that Henry Rogers and Elizabeth Mobley both had a parent with the last name of Meader????????

Chances are this is a mistake but, I figured I would throw it out there to see if I get any bites.

Thank you all for taking the time to read...

R.W.Rogers, V.
