My Grandmother on Mom’s (Lucille Henbest) side was JOANNA MEADOR. She was born on 3 December 1867 in Barry County Missouri and died on 6 April 1949 in Fayetteville Arkansas. Joanna’s husband was Alfred HENBEST.
Joanna’s Meador lineage is as follows:
George Henry Meador (b 1 September 1838, d 8 Feb 1904 - Lucy Ann Booth
Nathaniel Meador (b 19 September 1818, d 28 May 1862) - Sarah Turner and
Katherine Perdue
Eli Meador (b 1787, d 1846) - Sarah (Sarah) Turner
Isham Meador (b 20 March 1762, d 2 March 1849) - Biddy Bradshaw and Martha Craighead.
Joel Meador (b 1728, d 1789) - Frances, Agnes, and Susannah Clark
Jonas Meador ( b 1700) - Frances
John Meader
Thomas Meader, Jr.

This lineage is fairly well documented except for a good source document showing that one of Isham Meador and Bitty (Bradshaw) Meador’s children was Eli Meador. I have good documents on each of them, but nothing validating their parent/child relationship. Does anyone have any good source documents. This data is from The Meador Family by Daniel Burton Meador and from Meadors in Colonial America by Victor and Bernal Meador. While these books have this relationship, Victor indicates that his source is Daniel Meador’s book and he acknowledges that Daniel does not have any sources for this relationship.
I’ll gladly share any Meador/Henbest data I have.
