Just found a marriage of Phoebe Henley to a James Mead on Sept 12th, 1854, but Phoebe was remarried to a John Wood, Aug 19th, 1869. Cannot find a record of death for James, and trying to find a birth certificate for a child of that marriage--Ernest. He later took name Wood. Born about June 6th, 1868 in Balcombe. Died Aug 21st , 1941. He married a Alice Wheatland, Aug 23, 1888 and used the name Wood. Any of this sound familiar? He had many siblings with Phoebe's second marriage.
