There are a number of William H. Meads in the early NY City census' and directories. Jesse Mead Sr., father of Jesse Jr., had only two sons, Jesse and Dimious. I have no record of the children of Dimious. In Spencer P. Meads' "History & Genealogy of the Mead Family". He shows some 24 William H. Meads, none of whom seem to fit your dates and marriage.
I think my William died at sea, and I can't find any more info on him.
