Hello. The 1820 Census of Mentz, Cayuga Co. lists 4 Mead families: 1}Stephen; 2)Robert 3)William and 4) Giles. Material received indicates that William & Giles were brothers. Suspect that the other two are unrelated. William & family moved to Michigan and he and Eunice are buried in Buchanan,Berrien Co., Mi. His sons Daniel Bostwick (after going to school in Ohio) William & Robert moved to Michigan too. There maybe a 4th son, Giles. Daniel moved on to Iowa. We are definitely of the Dutch line. I've been trying to find out for 25+ years, who William's parents were. See my tree in ancestry.com
