Well, we are cousins. David since Joseph is a brother to my 3GGrandfather William Mead, is there a chance you have any information on him?

Our family story goes that he was a seafaring man and traveled south to Charleston, where he met and married Nancy Mckeown. His in-laws didn't like the yankee. He tried to be a farmer for a while in SC, but eventually went back to NYC. That's where I lose him. He apparently died around 1846 as his wife received an inheirtance with which she moved to Arkansas.

I'm assuming you have all the info on Jesse and his ancestors, as that is well documented by Spencer P. Mead's book "The Mead Family".
